We can all remember milestone moments in our lives. We have had the privilege of having five children and of course each of them carry their own memories. As we recall each of their pregnancies, births and celebrations we can remember the neat people who made a difference in our lives. My husband and I were members of a very supportive church family when we delivered our first child. They rallied around us and celebrated the birth of our first son. We were blessed by couples visiting our new little family and blessing us with a dinner.
This recipe is one such dinner that was shared with us over 24 years ago. I have the families name that shared it with us on the handwritten recipe and am thankful for their love every time I pull it out.
Years go by, families relocate, but the memories of a simple meal and a prayer blessing over our first born child will never be forgotten.
Thank you Jan, if you are reading this. You have been a blessing to our family.
