You’ll want to grab a couple of clean paper grocery bags—yes, the old-fashioned kind!—because they’re key to this playful and tasty treat. Gather the kids, roll up your sleeves, and get ready to shake, shake, shake your way into a holiday memory you’ll all savor.

  • Line counter top or two baking sheets with waxed paper. Double up the paper bags. Pour the corn puffs into the paper bags; set aside. In a large glass microwave-safe bowl (6+ cups), add the brown sugar, butter and corn syrup. Microwave on high for 2 minutes; stir until the butter is melted. Stir. Microwave another 2 minutes on high, watching closely to make sure it doesn't boil over. Remove from Microwave. Add the vanilla, salt and baking soda and stir well. The mixture will look foamy at this point. Pour mixture over the corn puffs in the paper bag. Fold over top of paper bag. Shake until mixture is evenly distributed. Place bag in Microwave on high for 2 minutes; shake. Repeat. Contents will be HOT so be careful. Open the bag and Pour onto the parchment paper and let cool. Break apart and store in an airtight container, if there is any left!
