My Mom’s Cheese Spread

This cheese spread brings back memories of splashes in the pool and huge cannonballs. My brother and I would swim for hours on end, having competitions for the best dive with the least amount of splash as well as the longest held breath underwater. We would work up a huge appetite as we swam.

We could always count on the old margarine container filled with mom’s cheese spread to be waiting for us. With dripping hair, wrapped in our towels and pruney fingers we would spread this dip on saltine crackers and devour.

Great memories and a very easy dip to make and enjoy.

  • Mix first five ingredients with mixer until blended. Add shredded cheese on low speed until mixed in. Place in a container and refrigerate. If making cheese ball, chill mixture for 30 minutes and shape into ball. Roll ball in cheddar cheese.
