I’m sure you have come looking for some good food to fill your belly since this is Kitchen Louise! Who doesn’t love a tasty dinner, a satisfied family, or the perfect dish to share at a pot-luck?
Well, all that is good and dandy and I’m right there with you. Never the less, we cannot live life to our fullest without filling our SOUL with the Bread of Life!
We are trained since childhood to be presentable and look our best. We teach our kids to brush their teeth and comb their hair. We are examples to those around us, and especially our children in what is important to us. We take care of ourselves by getting our hair done and some even nails or eyelashes. We make it a priority in the morning to “put on our faces” with make-up and pick out the outfit that makes us look good, feel good and makes us feel special. These are not bad things to pursue, but are we also prioritizing our relationship with the Lord, and having this be an example our children learn from?
Oftentimes whether we are stay-at-home moms or women with careers we can get caught up in the everyday business of life and not put on the most important thing to equip us for this life here on earth. I’m guilty of it too.
Are we preparing ourselves for what the world will throw at us today, tomorrow, or the next? Are we looking good on the outside, but drained on the inside? Now is the time to put on the protections that the Lord has given us to be prepared in this world! We need to put on His Armor. If you want to know more, you can read about it in Ephesians 6: 10-18.
The Lord cares for each and everyone of us and wants us to seek him in ALL we do. In the little mundane things of life and the “Big” stuff in life. He desires us to include Him in our life journey.
