Snowflake Kiss Cookies

When winter rolls around we dream of snow and tasty Christmas cookies. These almond chocolate coconut cookies melt in your mouth. Prepare to mix dough and refrigerate for 1 hour before baking. Recipe makes 4.5 dozen cookies. These are a perfect pair with a cup of creamy hot chocolate!

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup Butter
  • 3 oz Cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 2 tsp Almond Extract
  • 2 tsp Orange Juice
  • 1 1/4 cup Unsifted Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 9 oz Hershey Kisses
  • 5 cup White Flake Coconut
Instructions
  1. Cream butter, sugar, and cream cheese until fluffy. Add egg yolk, almond and OJ-Beat well. Combine flour, baking powder and gradually add to creamed mixture until well blended. Stir in 3 cups coconut. Cover dough and chill 1 hour. Shape into 1" balls rolling in remaining coconut and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes until lightly browned on bottom. Remove from oven, press chocolate kiss into center of each cookie. Allow to cool 1 minute. Carefully remove cookie from sheet and cool until kiss is firm. Makes 4.5 dozen
