Peach Crisp with Maple Cream Sauce

I'm do love a good crisp. Most people are used to eating apple crisp, but this peach crisp will make your taste buds happy. Enjoy this sweet twist on a good ol' recipe.

Ingredients
    Peach Crisp
  • 6 Peaches (Sliced)
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar (Firmly Packed)
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Stick Butter
  • 1/2 Whole Lemon
  • 2 tbsp Real Maple Syrup
  • Maple Cream Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 3 tbsp Light Corn Syrup
  • 5 tbsp Real Maple Syrup
Instructions
  1. Crisp: Mix dry ingredients and butter with pastry cutter (crumb topping). Peel peaches into a bowl. Add the zest from half a lemon. Squeeze juice from lemon half and stir in with peaches and zest. Add 2 tablespoons real maple syrup to peaches, stir well. Pour peach mixture into 9" square pan. Top with crumb topping. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, Remove foil and bake 20-30 minutes until golden brown. Maple Cream Sauce: Pour whipping cream into sauce pan. Add 5T maple syrup, 3T corn syrup and stir over medium heat until thick and reduced by 1/3, approx 15 minutes. Refrigerate mixture until cold and thick. Drizzle over crisp and serve warm. If making without sauce: Add 1/2 cup oats to crumb topping and pour over peach mixture. Add additional butter chunks to top and bake.
